Thanks to The National Youth Film Festival my class mates and I were able to be in the presence of  A Hollywood actor who returned to his Hackney roots (MY HOME TOWN ) to speak to us about his career and his role in the new film Mandela : Long Walk To Freedom

Auditions update

As a group we  decided to choose thee Hannah, we still haven't chosen the male character due to our chosen male character Cameron no longer being available . We are considering using Hannah's boyfriend D'angelo. We suggested this as she may be more comfortable for the one scene where she appears topless.

Our Revised Male Character

We've looked at the filming we done in the studio last week hannah look stunning...however D'angelo wasnt up to our standards so we've found a replacement and as a team we decided to take on Kevin to play Future in our music video.We know that he knows the lyrics definitely and he has shown that he is very committed.We plan to film next week Thursday and Friday.

Day 3 Filming - The Studio

Today Didn't go as well as the first two days filming. Firstly it was only me and Monique that were filing because Hadley was on a trip that was planned prior to the date set for filing .Secondly It was the first time filming D'angelo for our music video, he seemed confident enough in-front of the camera and he looked good with Hannah. HOWEVER he didn't learnt the lyrics and he said he had.To help him we printed of the lyrics to help him jog his memory but that didn't work so we then decided to sing along with him but that didn't work either .Regardless of his poor lip synchronising we continued filming at different angles so it didn't look to bad but that didn't help.He Kept answering phone calls in the middle of filming and he was over confident therefore it looked unrealistic.After today we need to think about whether we want to keep D'angelo as our future or find someone else because he doesn't seem to be taking this seriously.

Day 2 Filming - Springfield Park

Second day of filming also went great even though we got a little frustrated with people walking past as we filmed.we knew this would be a problem because the location where we wanted to is in such a public place.As Usual Hannah Done an excellent job getting into character and not moaning about the cold weather like I was. Luckily we finished at the time we did because if we had filmed any longer we would have gotten caught in the heavy rain.Have a look at our behind the scenes footage for today.

Day 1 Filming - The Terrace

Filming today went great minus the rain before hand and our faulty kit,However as a team we pulled through and made the most of it.Out Female Character Hannah was great,She knew the lyrics and just got on with it beautifully. :) Check out Our behind the scenes video for today down below.

Booking Equipment for Filming

For us to be able to use the filming equipment we have to book them by filling out a booking sheet stating what time and date we'll be picking up and dropping off the equipment.

Editing Tutorial

In today's Media lesson, my group and I attended an editing tutorial led by the media technicians in the editing suit. In order to edit our music videos we will be using  Final Cut Pro on a Mac computer. The tutorial gave us a head start and a good understanding of how to control basic functions such as how to cut a video clip and lighting effects.

Whoop we were able to find a few boys and a few girls but we cut it down to two boys and two girls.
